Dance Fitness can be a way to lose and manage your weight, but in and of itself it is not enough. To manage weight, there are other components, such as diet, rest, strength training and cross training with other cardio workouts. Strength training at least 2 times a week for the major muscles groups (Biceps, Triceps, Chest, Back,Shoulders and Legs). This along can boost your metabolism and burn more calories. The other cardio workouts for example, swimming, running, walking, treadmill, etc can be added once a week to break away from just dancing. Living in this busy world, getting the proper rest is most likely neglected. It is advise to get 7 to 8 hours a sleep each night. Do you? Diet, what does that mean? It means what you eat. Are you eating healthy? Do you have fruits, vegetables and plenty of water each day? A balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates? The food pyramid is a good guide to follow to get a nutritional daily intake of healthy food. Safety - Do you know the emergency exits? What is the safe occupancy number for the room you are teaching in? Can your participants extends both arms out side to side without touching another person? Why Do You Teach? Is it because you love to connect and help people to a better quality of life? Is It attention? Money? Are your certifications and insurance up to date? You do know you can be sued! Do you know how to do CPR or respond to an emergency situation under control?
