Weight Loss Struggle
One
of the request I get from a lot of woman who are to soon get
married is how can they lose the weight so that they can be a few
sizes smaller for their wedding. My first response is to stop and think for a moment, did
not the guy as you to marry him just as you presently are? Did he say get down to a size
5 by the wedding day or the wedding is off? You did not get to where you are overnight
so it will come off in time.
The safest method to lose weight is 1 to 2 pounds a week. Let’s look at a equation. 1
pound is equal to 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound you have work off at least 3500
calories a week by exercising and dieting. Dieting plays a real role. The more you eat
the more you are going to have to burn off calories, unless you are getting healthy
portions of meals. Each day of the week you will need to consume 500 less calories of
food. Plus you are going to have to burn off at least 500 calories a day through exercise
to get a net affect to get your weight loss going. If you just consume 500 calories less a
day without any exercise, you will end up with no affect.
Calories (What You Eat)
- Calories (Less Eating)
+ Exercise (Burns Calories & Fat)
= Weight Loss .
If you're overweight there is the temptation to dive in quickly, however; by entering a
weight loss program by setting a goal to lose just 10% of your body weight in 6 months is
a healthy measurable goal that can be easier to attain and maintain. This pattern of
settings goals can actually transfered to other areas of your life as well. Before you know
it you have new way of life management. You will find that you will have less stress, more
energy and sleep better. The next visit to your doctor will reveal the benefits.
BMI (body mass index) is an indirect
measure of body fat based on a person’s
height and weight.
An easy way to determine thinness and
excessive fatness is to figure out your
body mass index, or BMI. The higher your
BMI, the greater your risk of certain
conditions, such as coronary heart
disease, type 2 diabetes and high blood
pressure. To find your BMI, type in your
height and weight, then click on
“Calculate My BMI.”
Cross Training
Cross - Training Is a method I recommend in
managing your weight. This way you will
work different muscles and not get stuck in
the same routine all the time. There is a
place to dance, but dancing is not enough.
Have a day to run, walk or swim. The idea is
to get moving. Weight training must be part
of the equation. Two days a week will work.
